OUR STAFF Carol Ray, M.A., CCC-SLP, Owner/Director carolray@pediatricspeechtherapy.org Carol Ray, M.A., CCC-SLP graduated from Rollins College with a B.A. in Psychology and the University of Central Florida with an M.A. in Communication Disorders she moved to Seattle and immediately fell in love with all that the area has to offer. In the past 14 years she has been fortunate to work with children and families in a variety of settings including an outpatient neurological rehabilitation facility, an early intervention center, and private practices serving children ages birth-18. Carol has particular interest in, and experience with, children who have motor speech disorders (apraxia/articulation disorders), Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), early onset fluency challenges, sensory integration disorders, early-literacy issues, and social-pragmatic difficulties. She is a Level II trained PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) therapist, and has been for several years. Recent continuing education has included coursework on RDI, Auditory Processing Disorders, Sensory Integration, and DIR/Floortime and other approaches to ASD, including the Burns course for experienced clinicians. Carol is a Hanen Certified Parent-Education Facilitator: “It Takes Two to Talk” (for parents of children with language delay) and “More Than Words” (for parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders). Carol recently completed clinician certification as a Fast ForWord provider through Scientific Learning, and is excited to be able to offer this program to children and adults with auditory and language processing issues, and reading challenges. Carol is also a member of ASHA’s special interest division for fluency disorders. She manages intake and administration for both locations.
When not at work, Carol can typically be found exploring the Pacific Northwest where she enjoys backpacking, climbing/mountaineering, snowboarding, mountain biking and just about anything that can get her outdoors. Traveling is another favorite adventure, and she enjoys anything from a small weekend getaway to a long trip to a far away region. Otherwise, time is spent relaxing and enjoying the company of friends and family, with her husband, Eric, and their dogs, Jack and Juno. Barriann Anthony, M.S., CCC-SLP barriann@pediatricspeechtherapy.org Barriann Anthony, M.S., CCC-SLP graduated from Florida State University with an M.S. in Speech Language Pathology. She has specialized solely in pediatrics while providing communication and feeding therapy in a sub-acute pediatric rehabilitation hospital, in early intervention centers, and in private practice settings. Barriann sees children full time in the Bellevue office.
Barriann is a Level II trained PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) therapist as she has a special interest in the treatment of motor speech delays. Another area of clinical interest is Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). She has extensive training and clinical experience in assessment and intervention strategies for children with ASD. Barriann is proficient in the use of the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and various visual strategies to provide an augmentative means of communication. Barriann has workshop and clinical training in assessment and practical intervention strategies for pediatric feeding/swallowing disorders and in the implementation of sensory integration and neurodevelopmental principles and their impact on communication, feeding, motor and self-regulation skills of young children. She is also a certified instructor in the Hanen program, “It Takes Two to Talk.” During her leisure time, Barriann enjoys traveling and engaging in outdoor activities such as running road races and hiking. She also cherishes spending time with friends and family.
Kerilyn Pandorf, M.S., CCC-SLP kerilyn@pediatricspeechtherapy.org Kerilyn Pandorf, M.S., CCC-SLP received her B.S. in Communication Disorders from the State University of New York at Geneseo and her M.S. in Speech Language Pathology from Northern Arizona University. She has experience with home and center/school based treatment provided both individually as well as within groups. Kerilyn has extensive experience working with multi-disciplinary teams and coaching caregivers to facilitate their child’s communication. Kerilyn works full-time at the Seattle/Wallingford PSLT. Kerilyn has worked with children one to eighteen years of age with multiple diagnoses. She has had the experience of working with Native American children of Navajo and Hopi decent in Arizona and has worked at specialized education schools in New York with an emphasis on the rehabilitation of children with hearing and orthopedic impairments. While in Washington, Kerilyn has worked at a birth to three neurodevelopmental center while contracting with area clinics serving older school-aged children. Kerilyn is a level II trained PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) therapist. She has taken multiple continuing education courses with topics including sensory integration, oral motor and motor speech disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, phonological disorders, and early childhood education. Kerilyn often uses sign language and picture communication systems in therapy. She most recently completed an introductory course in Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT). When not working, Kerilyn enjoys skiing, hiking, doing yoga, and spending quality time with friends and her dog, Holly. She often flies back east to see her family and bond with her nieces and nephews. Kerilyn loves little weekend trips to remote places.
Allie Templin, M.S., CCC-SLP Alexandra Templin, M.S., CCC-SLP (Allie) graduated with a B.S. in Communication Sciences & Disorders from the University of Texas at Austin and received her Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Allie has previous experience working with children at a rehabilitation clinic affiliated with the U of Wisconsin Children's hospital and in school districts. Allie currently works full-time at the Seattle/Wallingford PSLT location. Allie works with various populations and children with a variety of needs, including augmentative and alternative communication / assistive technology, childhood apraxia of speech, aphasia, autism spectrum disorders, expressive and receptive communication disorders, articulation & phonological impairments, hearing impairment, down syndrome, and fragile X syndrome. Allie is a Level I trained PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) therapist. She is also a Hanen Certified Parent-Education Facilitator for the “It Takes Two to Talk” program (for parents of children with language delay) and is trained in PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System). Additional continuing education has included coursework by Michelle Garcia Winner in teaching Social Communication to children with Aspergers Syndrome, coursework by Kristin Chmela in working with preschoolers with fluency/stuttering impairments, coursework by Lori Overland & Diane Bahr in working with children with feeding & myofunctional impairments, and coursework in improving literacy skills in children.
During her free time, Allie enjoys reading, traveling, & exploring Seattle with her husband. She also likes listening to live music, making jewelry, hanging out with her turtles, watching movies, and continuing her never-ending quest for good Mexican food in the Seattle area!
Salomi Daftary, M.S., CCC-SLP Salomi Daftary, M.A., CCC-SLP graduated from Ohio University with a Master in Speech Language Pathology. She has worked with children in hospital outpatient settings, preschool, elementary, as well as high school settings. She works in the Seattle and the Bellevue PSLT locations. Salomi has experience working with children who present with a variety of communication disorders. These include, apraxia of speech, articulation disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorders, fluency disorders, language delay due to genetic syndromes, specific learning disabilities and feeding/swallowing disorders. She has particular interest and experience with use of Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) in children with moderate to severe disabilities. She has been fortunate to work collaboratively on teams with other professionals, therapists, teachers and psychologists.
Salomi is Level I trained in PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets). She has taken continuing education courses on topics including, auditory processing disorders, response to intervention, multi-modality supports for communication and cognition in children with multiple challenges and students on the severe end of Autism Spectrum, assessing and treating children with fluency disorders, second language acquisition in children and accent modification training. In addition to English, Salomi speaks Hindi, Gujarati, and Marathi.
During her leisure time, she enjoys reading, dancing, traveling, and exploring new restaurants with her husband and friends.
Elyse Bryant, M.S., CCC-SLP elyse@pediatricspeechtherapy.org Elyse Bryant, M.S., CCC-SLP received her M.S. in Speech Language Pathology from University of Redlands in Southern California. She has experience with hospital and clinic-based treatment for children with a wide array of difficulties including articulation/phonological disorders, expressive and receptive language impairment, apraxia, dysphagia, stuttering, voice disorders, and pragmatic impairment. She has also completed Level 1 PROMPT training. Elyse enjoys working together with families to provide the most effective and functional therapy for their child. She speaks conversational Spanish, and spent a year working in an orphanage in El Salvador. Elyse has had the opportunity to partner with parents and professionals of children with many diagnoses including autism, hearing loss, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, cleft palate, seizure disorders, and traumatic brain injury. She has taken multiple continuing education courses with topics including dysphagia, cochlear implantation, augmentative and alternative communication, early intervention, and multicultural populations. Elyse works at the Seattle/Wallingford PSLT.
When not working, Elyse enjoys rock climbing, hiking, traveling, playing sports, and talking with friends. She likes to attempt exciting art and cooking projects with variable success.
Allison Bracken, M.S., CCC-SLP allison@pediatricspeechtherapy.org Allison Bracken, MS, CCC/SLP, graduated from University of North Dakota with a Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology. She specializes in Pediatrics and has experience in a variety of settings including preschools, elementary schools, middle schools, a university clinic, afterschool programs, a hospital, and even in a horse barn/corral. Allison works full time in the Seattle PSLT location. Allison has experience working with various populations including those with Articulation and Phonological Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Apraxia, Specific Learning Disability, Expressive and Receptive Language Disorders, Down Syndrome, and Fluency. Allison has often worked in teams with other professionals including occupational therapists, physical therapists, psychologists, teachers, and other professionals. She is formally trained in the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS). Other continuing education includes; Apraxia, ASD, Augmentative and Alternative Communication, Early Intervention, second language acquisition, Multidisciplinary team approach, Auditory Processing, and Phonological Awareness. She has also completed Level 1 PROMPT training. When not at work, Allison enjoys sailing, reading, camping, watching soccer, and visiting with friends and family in Canada.
Megan Campbell is a certified speech-language pathologist with Bachelors and Masters degrees in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Arizona. Working for private practices, school districts and serving her own private clients in Southern California and Oregon, she has helped hundreds of children improve their speech, language and pragmatic abilities. Although specializing primarily in pediatrics, Megan has also enjoyed assisting the geriatric population with speech/language, cognitive, and swallowing issues in a skilled-nursing facility. Megan is an independent contractor who works part-time in the Bellevue location of PSLT. Megan has worked with children ages 1-18 years with receptive/expressive language delay, articulation/phonological disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, velopharyngeal incompetence, tongue thrust, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Down Syndrome, Prader Willi Syndrome, fluency disorders, and developmental delay. She also has experience providing early intervention play-based services and facilitating social-pragmatic groups. Megan has participated in a wide range of continuing education courses related to speech, language, and learning disorders across the pediatric population. Megan is a Level I trained PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) therapist. She has also attended courses focused on Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorders, remediation of articulation disorders (SATPAC), stuttering, literacy and pre-literacy skills (Lindamood-Bell Phoneme Sequencing Program®) and listening/reading comprehension abilities (Visualizing and Verbalizing for Language Comprehension and Thinking®). Megan is a native Southern Californian, and being new to Washington, she has thoroughly enjoyed the changing seasons offered by the Pacific Northwest. When she is not working, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband, her son, and her two golden retrievers. Deane Ramsay, M.S., CCC-SLP
deane@pediatricspeechtherapy.org Deane Ramsay, M.S., CCC-SLP graduated with her B.S. and M.S. in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Washington. Prior to joining PSLT, Deane served children in home-based, developmental preschool, elementary and high school settings in a Seattle area School District. Deane sees patients on a part-time basis at the Bellevue PSLT location. Deane enjoys working together with families to provide effective and functional therapy for their child and has experience working with children who present with a variety of communication disorders. These include, but are not limited to, apraxia of speech, phonologic and articulation disorders, autism spectrum disorders, receptive and expressive language delays due to genetic syndromes and specific learning disabilities. She has accent modification training and teaches pronunciation to International students at a Seattle area Technical College. Deane has taken multiple continuing education courses on topics including literacy, learning disabilities, articulation, apraxia of speech, autism spectrum disorders and fluency to name a few. She has also completed Level 1 PROMPT training. In her leisure time, Deane spends time with her family and friends, travels, rides her bike, does a little clay sculpting and painting, tries out new recipes and loves to go to movies. Judith Deomampo, M.S., CCC-SLP Judith Deomampo, M.S. CCC-SLP received her B.S. in Communication Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and her M.S. in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Judith has worked in birth-to-three centers as well as elementary, middle, and high schools. She has also worked with Spanish speaking families in the Milwaukee area prior to moving to Seattle. She is an independent contractor seeing children at PSLT's Seattle/Wallingford location on a part-time basis.
Judith enjoys working with children of all ages and supporting their language skills in their daily setting. Her experience ranges from home-based therapy, childhood language development classes, collaborative teaching in classrooms, and social/language group sessions. She has extensive experience in working with secondary age level students with receptive and expressive language needs. She has taken multiple continuing education courses with topics including fluency, literacy, attention disorders, behavior management, and PDD-NOS (Pervasive Developmental Disorders-Not Otherwise Specified). Judith is Level 1 trained in PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets).
When not working, Judith spends her time camping, hiking, reading, walking her dog, and doing yoga. She also likes to discover good restaurants to enjoy on the weekend with friends. When she gets the chance, Judith likes to visit with friends and family back home in Wisconsin. Elizabeth McPartland, M.S., CCC-SLP Liz McPartland, M.S. CCC-SLP graduated with her B.S. and M.S. in Communicative Disorders from Utah State University. She has worked with children of all ages in clinical and school settings. Liz is an independent contractor working afternoons at the Bellevue location of PSLT. Liz has worked extensively with children on the autistic spectrum, articulation delays and motor speech disorders, pre-literacy skills, receptive and expressive language disorders. She is formally trained in the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS). Her continuing education classes include topics of fluency, autism, behavior management, and team collaboration.
Outside of work Liz enjoys traveling, sports, and spending time with family and friends.
Sarah Oarbeascoa, M.S., CCC-SLP Sarah Matthews, M.S. CCC-SLP received her B.S. and M.S. in Communication Disorders from Idaho State University – Boise. Prior to joining PSLT, Sarah worked with preschool and elementary age children in Seattle area school districts. She is an independent contractor seeing children at PSLT's Seattle/Wallingford location.
Sarah enjoys working with children of all ages and supporting their communication skills in their daily setting. She has taken multiple continuing education courses including the topics of second language acquisition, receptive and expressive language interventions, literacy, Autism Spectrum Disorders, behavior management, and treatment of Childhood Apraxia of Speech.
